Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there any
charge for mobile auto glass service?
A: There is never
any additional charge for mobile service to our
service areas
Q: I called an
800# my insurance company gave me to schedule
auto glass replacement. I told them I wanted to
use Granite State Glass and they told me:
"They are not on our approved vendor list.."
"You will be responsible for any extra expense
incurred.."
"We can't guarantee their work.."
A: Many insurance
companies will employ national glass companies
to administrate auto glass claims called "networks"
for them. These companies will try to keep as
many auto glass claims as they can for themselves,
ignoring customer choice and using any scare tactics
they can to redirect a customer to their own shop.
This is called "steering" and it is
against the law.
Granite State Glass is a member of every major
network and have agreed to pricing parameters
set forth by the networks. Our auto glass installations
are guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle.
The choice of who performs your auto glass installation
is YOUR CHOICE. Choose Granite State Glass and
get the quality installation and superior customer
service you deserve.
Q: Your auto glass
installations carry a guarantee, can you explain
further?
A: All Granite State
Glass auto glass installations carry a guarantee
against air and moisture leaks for as long as
you own the vehicle.
Q: Does Granite
State Glass perform windshield repairs?
A: Yes, all Granite
State Glass locations perform windshield repairs
on "rock chips" or "bullsyeyes"
that occur in the windshield. If the damage, and
any cracks associated with it, can fit under the
size of a quarter it can usually be repaired.
Q: Why bother repairing
the windshield, why not just replace it?
A: Windshield repair
costs you and your insurance company less than
a new windshield installation. Many insurance
companies will waive your deductible if you have
your windshield repaired. Windshield repair is
also healthier for the environment, generating
no waste for landfills.
Q: Will I see the
repair when it's done?
A: Every repair
is different; most repairs are still slightly
visible after completion.
Q: What if the
windshield repair fails?
A: During the windshield
repair process, the potential for further breakage
exists. If the repair or attempted repair fails,
Granite State Glass will credit any expense toward
a new windshield installation.
